Owners, Basecamp Eureka Springs

Heather and Jeff Carter are the husband-and-wife team behind Basecamp Eureka Springs, a modern micro-resort and event venue tucked into the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas. After more than two decades building and running a successful audio-video and technology company, the Carters shifted their focus to hospitality — first by creating the beloved Eureka Springs Coffee House downtown, and now through Basecamp, a place that blends scenic beauty, community, and thoughtful design.

Their vision for Basecamp grew from a shared passion for creating meaningful spaces — places that encourage connection over coffee, conversation, and celebration. What began as a local coffee shop has evolved into a multifaceted destination: a 4,300-square-foot venue for weddings and private events, a brunch café and espresso bar serving Onyx Coffee and locally inspired fare, and a growing collection of Scandinavian-style luxury cabins designed for comfort and adventure.

With in-house catering, handcrafted décor, and a team trained to make every guest feel at home, the Carters personally oversee every detail — from the flow of a reception to the texture of the linens and the warmth of the espresso crema. Their philosophy is simple: hospitality should feel both elevated and effortless.

Basecamp reflects Heather and Jeff’s decades of entrepreneurial experience, their eye for design, and their deep appreciation for the Ozarks. Just minutes from downtown Eureka Springs and steps from the Passion Play trails, the property’s fifteen wooded acres invite guests to slow down, explore, and celebrate life’s best moments — surrounded by nature, good food, and genuine people.
